The truth will set you free....

I have heard this multiple times this week. It has caused me to think about the pros and cons of telling the truth. A key example is what do you say when someone asks "How does my breath smell?" or "Am I gaining weight?" What about "Is my boyfriend cute?" or "Should I leave him?"....My point is there are times when the whole truth may not be the right answer. Or should you tell the truth no matter what and not worry about the feelings of others? What percentage of your day is spent telling the truth? What impacts your decision to tell the truth or not?

From experience I have learned that honesty is best. I use to tell part of the truth and that got me in more shi$ than you can imagine. Now I just put it out there. Yes I HATE TO SAY IT sometimes I put more out than the person wanted to hear but the reality is they need to hear it.

People appreciate it more when they know if they ask you a question you will be up front with them. Generally speaking.

Okay, I'm going with honesty. Just tell the truth and let it go. The old me would want to save face and feelings. . . . Today, I just don't know. If you have to ask, then you really need to know.

I would rather something (an adult) would tell me the truth than to have one of those kids tell you out loud and embarrass the hell out of you. Play your cards and try to be honest with people but know when to hold'em and show'em.
