Which way is up?
Today is just the second day of school for the students and I am looking for a way out:) In this country of wealth, why isn't any of it spent on the future of education. Yeah, I know...no child left behind...blah, blah, blah....let's face it....some ARE getting left behind...while being pushed up to the next grade level. It is draining to work in an inner city school and have a front row seat during this train wreck we call education. Question - If you have 30 students in middle school class, how many computers should the teacher have in the class? This is 2007. I challenge you all to take a tour of an inner city school and answer the question again. I will step down from my soap box.... one last thing...if you have children, make sure you are proactive in obtaining a quality education for them. With all this said...Which way is up?

NCLB. . . Well, they need one for the adults NOW. . Some have been left behind without a trace. The school system needs a clue. Yeah, it's easy to sit back and complain about what's wrong, but we're in the game EVERYDAY and doing all we can to insure excellence for our students. . . But I don't think anyone is out there, listening, REALLY!
